As earlier announced the first webinar of the American English for educators’ series held on the 17th of January, 2018. Public and private secondary school educators and people looking forward to building a career in English studies where a major part of the audience. Mary Frances Bodenstein, the facilitator, did great justice to the topic: Classroom Routines and Procedures: Setting your Classroom Up for Success. The webinar accurately addressed the concept of classroom management which is a difficult aspect of teaching for many teachers. It is a known fact that teachers do not focus on learning classroom management, because higher education programs scarcely emphasize on it. Regardless of that, these less emphasized tools enable teachers to have the resources available to properly and successfully educate upcoming generations, and ensure future successes as a nation. The office of English Language programs is pleased to introduce to you, the American English Webinar Series- AEW, an online teacher training seminars for professional development. The series will take place from January 17 – March 28, 2018. Each 60-minute webinar will be held every other Wednesday by 2:00pm, at the American Corner Calabar, Women Development center, Parliamentary Village. We encourage   English teachers in your school at the Junior and Senior Secondary School leavers to participant in the program in order to build their capacity and improve their ELT methodology.
